Hotel-Gasthof Adler

Cozy and quiet hotel with great breakfast and friendly staff. I arrived late and had an amazing breakfast the next morning. I had to leave earlier than planned, so of course the second night was lost — but a small gesture like a coffee or dessert would’ve been nice. Still, I really enjoyed my short stay and would come back again.

My wife and I stayed at Zigler but the Restaurant was closed on Tuesday so we went to Adler for dinner - my Fish Plate soo delicious and the service was very friendly.

We stayed there to tour the area and go to the Christmas Market in Lindau. Very nice, quiet town. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good. Evening meals at the Gasthof was also very good and portions were generous. Highly recommend if you are touring the area. Free parking too, with plenty of spots.

Perfect location for a more quiet stay but very close to all the greatness this region offers. The service is impeccable - the breakfast out of this world. Dinner extraordinary and always fresh ingredients from the region. We have changed our yearly stays from another place more expensive and less accomodating. Thank you Adler and hope to come back soon again.

We stayed here two nights while visiting the lake. Our 2nd floor room had been recently renovated. Comfortable, quiet, and efficiently appointed. Hotel service was very good and they were able to accommodate our request to stay the second night (we'd originally only booked one night).||||The accompanying restaurant provided a traditional meat and potatoes menu. Appropriate for the season we ordered from the special asparagus menu. Outdoor seating was comfortable. Service was a little spotty since the wait staff had to run up and down the stairs to get to the kitchen. Very good breakfast.||||The hotel is about a 15 min drive from the island/lake, and there's bus service right outside the hotel.

Very good variety of local food and drinks. We went there for diner and on another day lunch. We were always very satisfied. Freshly cooked, delicious meals with little waiting time (less than 15 minutes). Good service and friendly staff. Staff is very friendly to kids. I would recommend for anyone looking for traditional south german cousine in the area of Lindau. Also it is a good restaurant for families.

Extremely poor value. Most of the reviews for here are for the restaurant. For €147 We didn’t expect the check in to be a note taped to the door explaining it was their day off and use a key safe around the side to gain entry. Therefore no restaurant facilities. The view from our “chalet” room was of the railway line we were so disappointed by the whole experience wouldn’t stop here again

We spent three nights here from November 2 to November 5. The day of our arrival was their weekly day of rest (Thursday), but they made it easy to find our room, and at our request they recommended a nearby restaurant (and a competitor's hotel!) which proved to be enjoyable. The room was quite pleasant, the bathroom and shower were outstanding, all recently renovated. We ate at the hotel once and found the meal to be typically German and pleasant. The staff was uniformly friendly. Though 6 km from Lindau island, the drive there is easy, and by virtue of staying out of town, no problem with parking and quick access to the other points of interest in the region. Finally, the hotel itself is a lovely heirloom, beautifully preserved while maintaining a traditional atmosphere.
